Good morning Greenzoners, and this is the new Eco News. 😉

As we know, the extremely important plant ability is to absorb carbon-dioxyde (CO2) and emit oxygen.  It’s especially necessary for us when the CO2 emission is so huge.
Intensified pollution and gas emissions not only increase the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, but also degrades the soil.  It was recently discovered that unfertile, polluted soils may reduce the plants’ CO2 absorbing ability. (more…)

Meteor show 2012

August 11th, 2012

Hi Greenzoners! Were you watching meteor shower yesterday? 😉 Maybe some of you captured it on photos? 🙂

Hi Greenzoners! Remember our last riddle? About what was it in that picture?

Rainbow River

Well, the answer is simple – it’s a river in Colombia, called The Cano Cristales, or commonly known as Rainbow River. It is located in a northern part of Colombia, in “Sierra de la Macarena” and is over 100 kilometers long.
It’s so colorful because of multi-color moss that grows on the bottom of the river and blooms accordingly to the changes of water level. Also, this beautiful performance is visible at certain season of the year. 🙂

Hi Greenzoners! You know what? You don’t need plastic bags. Or at least – they are not necessary, and you can get rid off them and reduce the waste.
bin
You can just keep your litter in a plastic bin and put some old newspaper on the bottom to prevent from rotting.
